At Cardinal Griffin Catholic Sixth Form we pride ourselves on our reputation as a friendly and caring community, with outstanding pastoral care. Each student is supported and encouraged to develop the skills and confidence to fulfil their potential and so we expect academic excellence. We place a strong emphasis on educating the WHOLE person in an environment which recognises the value and dignity of everyone. Excellent A Level teaching, developing independent learning, opportunities to participate in sport and voluntary work, meaningful work related learning are essential aspects of what we can offer our students. They then go on to find success guided by a dedicated team who offer individual advice and guidance to support University applications and employment.
The spirit of Cardinal Griffin Catholic Sixth Form is clearly expressed in the words of our motto,
“Strive to be the best you can be”
We offer a wide range of Level 3 courses that lead to ‘A’ level qualifications (AS taken in Year 12 followed by A2 in Year 13). We also offer Level 3 BTEC qualifications in more vocational subjects. We are able to further expand our option choices by working in collaboration with Cannock Chase Academy. We will put together a personalised programme of study and will be happy to talk to you on an individual basis about this.
It is important that you get a feel for our Sixth Form to ensure it is the right way forward for you. All applicants are invited to attend our induction days in July. You will have the opportunity to attend taster lessons in your chosen subjects and get involved in activities in the Sixth Form centre, giving you an insight into life as a Sixth Former. Formal interviews will normally take place after the closing date in March, however you may be asked to attend before then if your application is received early.
Please do not hesitate to contact the Sixth Form Centre for any further information.
